Kolingle ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform and services, including when you connect third-party accounts such as TikTok.
By using Kolingle, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use our Service.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your data is used solely to operate and improve the Kolingle platform and to facilitate KOL-brand partnerships.
2. Data We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
Information you provide directly:
- Account registration details (name, email, password)
- Profile information (bio, niche, location, contact details)
- Business information for brands (company name, industry, website)
- Payment and billing information (processed securely via payment providers)
- Communications you send us (support requests, campaign messages)

- Usage data (features used, session duration, interactions)

3. TikTok Data We Access
When you connect your TikTok account to Kolingle via TikTok's official API, we request access to the following data with your explicit authorization:

TikTok Data Usage Commitment
We access TikTok data only for the purposes stated above. We do not post to your TikTok account without your explicit per-campaign consent. We do not access private messages, contacts, or any data not listed in this table. TikTok data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
You can revoke Kolingle's access to your TikTok data at any time by:
- Going to your TikTok app → Settings → Privacy → Apps & Websites → Manage App Permissions
- Disconnecting TikTok from your Kolingle account settings

4. How We Use Your Data
We use your information to:
- Operate the platform — create and manage your account, display your profile, and enable features
- Facilitate partnerships — match KOLs with brands based on metrics, niche, and campaign requirements
- Analytics & insights — generate performance reports, engagement summaries, and campaign analytics for you
- Communication — send campaign notifications, platform updates, and support responses
- Payments — process campaign fees and payouts (via secure payment processors)
- Improve our services — analyze usage patterns to improve features and matching algorithms
- Legal compliance — comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes
- Safety & security — detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms
We do not use your data for targeted advertising by third parties, or sell your personal information to data brokers.
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
With other platform users (as necessary for the service):
- Your public KOL profile (username, niche, follower count, engagement metrics) is visible to brands on the platform
- Brands' public profiles are visible to KOLs for partnership evaluation
- Campaign details are shared between matched KOLs and brands
With service providers:
- Payment processors (for campaign payments and billing)
- Cloud infrastructure providers (for data storage and hosting)
- Analytics providers (aggregated, anonymized data only)
- Email service providers (for transactional communication)
For legal reasons:
- To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal process
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Kolingle, our users, or others
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets
All service providers are contractually required to use your data only to provide services to us and to protect it with appropriate security measures.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Specifically:
- Account data — retained while your account is active; deleted within 90 days of account closure upon request
- TikTok-sourced data — synced periodically while connected; deleted within 30 days of TikTok account disconnection
- Campaign data — retained for 3 years after campaign completion for record-keeping and dispute resolution
- Payment records — retained for 7 years as required by Indonesian financial regulations
- Log data — retained for 12 months
You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Your Rights, Section 8).
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest for sensitive data
- TikTok OAuth tokens stored encrypted; we never store your TikTok password
- Access controls limiting employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
- Regular security assessments and vulnerability testing
- Incident response procedures for potential data breaches

8. Your Rights

- TikTok disconnection — Revoke TikTok access at any time via TikTok app settings or your Kolingle account

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies for behavioral advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect platform functionality.
10. Third-Party Services
Our platform integrates with third-party services including TikTok. These services have their own privacy policies:

11. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Policy constitutes acceptance of the changes.
